Washington Circle, at the joint intersection of Pennsylvania and New Hampshire Avenues with K and Twenty-third Streets, is one of the most attractive of the city's smaller "breathing areas." At its center stands a George Washington statue, the bronze statue on a marble base is located in the center of Washington Circle Park, a park in the center of a roundabout in the Foggy Bottom area of Washington, D.C.
